(Ruby, SC July 3, 2017) – Sandhill Telephone Cooperative proudly donated $12,000 to the Sandhills Medical Foundation to assist in opening a medical clinic in the town of Ruby.

The Town of Ruby entered into an agreement with Sandhills Medical Foundation, but faced the obstacle of remodeling the much needed facility.  SC State Representative Richie Yow, reached out to Sandhill Telephone for their support stating, “This endeavor is not only beneficial to the citizens of the town, but Ruby’s central location in the county will be a benefit to thousands of residents, especially our seniors.”

Lee Chambers, Sandhill Telephone CEO, presented the request to the Board of Directors during the June board meeting.  The board approved a donation of $12,000 to assist in this project.
