This month I would like to take a moment to thank all of our employees that worked hard during Hurricane Florence to make sure that services stayed active.  Many people, myself included, take for granted that things will just always work – lights and air conditioning, hot running water, and of course phone and internet service.   Last month’s storm affected our area in a major way.  Some roads are still closed, utility lines are patched in spots until permanent solutions can be put in place, and most importantly, many homes were damaged and people were displaced.

In times like these, communities come together to help each other.   Service has always been our most important focus here at Sandhill.  We are grateful to do our part during and after the storm to provide our Members access to updates via their television service or broadband connection.  Many people in our communities still have damage and are trying to recover; our thoughts and prayers are with them.

In a further effort to help, we are collecting water and cleaning supplies to be distributed in our communities to those most affected by this storm.  Please stop by this week to donate any items to help in this effort.  The last day to donate is Monday, October 8, 2018.  Donations can be brought to any of our four offices between 8:30 am-5:00 pm.

As we continue our work on fiber and other projects, we do have some exciting changes planned for next year to better serve our Member’s needs.  Please be on the lookout for the Sandhill Connextion magazine with more details.  As always, thank you for being a Member and we’re glad we can provide service even during the middle of storms.
